Contingence: An art installation made out of wood, canvas, Epoxy Resin, clay, and acrylic paint.
Exploration is the essence of the human spirit, and touch is its most primordial form. Yet, we are refrained from touching objects through ownership. Specifically, bronze sculptures are public wealth for touches leaving golden marks as testaments of exploration. Like the sculptures, this gift eliminates the barrier of exploration —- ownership —- and encourages all to touch with golden pigments, to feel the varying textures of clay, wood, and epoxy. I chose noses protruding from a wall as a popular part to touch in bronze sculptures, and their partial submergence part symbolized the unknown waiting for one’s exploration.

The viewer can leaves golden trails of their touch with the paint provided, mimicking the touches on bronze sculptures though long time of display.
